Crate Labels turns photos of your vinyl into printed labels. This page explains what we
store and who processes it.
What we store
- Your collection - the records you add, their tracklists, BPM and key, and any crates
you make. Held on Google Cloud Storage in the EU (europe-west3).
- Your sleeve photos - kept with each record so you can always compare a match against
what you shot, and re-scan later. They are not deleted automatically on confirm. You can
delete any single photo, or your whole account, at any time (see below).
- Account - a random anonymous id in a cookie identifies your collection on a device.
If you buy a plan, we store your Stripe customer id and plan tier. We do not store your card.
Who processes your data
- Anthropic - your sleeve photos are sent to Anthropic's Claude vision models to identify
each record.
- Discogs - we look up the authoritative pressing and tracklist.
- Google Cloud - hosting and storage (EU).
- Stripe - payments, if you subscribe. We never see your card number.
We never sell or rent your collection data.
Your controls
- Export - download your whole collection as plain text any time (Settings → Export).
- Delete a photo - remove any sleeve photo from its record.
- Delete everything - Settings → Delete account wipes your collection, photos and
plan. (Our storage keeps a recoverable copy for 7 days for accident protection, then it is gone.)
